This course will provide an overview of legal, political, health, social, psychological, educational, and cultural issues involved in child abuse and family violence. Assessment and intervention methods will be presented along with current research findings and community resources. Factors that create risk and that promote strength and resilience in children and families affected by violence will be discussed.
