This course serves as an individual and communal learning space in which students explore and apply theories and techniques of acting to the deconstruction of systems of oppression embedded in our society. Through physical and emotional exercises, dramaturgical research, and textual analysis, students interrogate structures of power and privilege. Hands-on, interactive arts-based research of acting for social change invites students to embrace individual and collective agency in their communities, at home, and beyond.
